Dr. Gary McKnight graduated from the University of Kansas Medical Center and completed doctoral studies in audiology at the University of Florida. He has taught at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Known throughout the region as “The Dizzy Doctor,” Gary has specialized in dizziness and balance disorders for nearly two decades.

Dr. Hemant Boolani, a physician with St. Francis Heart and Vascular Center, is a fellow of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. Dr. Boolani received his medical degree from N.H.L. Municipal Medical College, Gujarat, India. He completed his residency at Howard University College of Medicine, Washington, D.C. Dr. Boolani also completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Timothy B. Gateley, D.P.M., has been practicing podiatry with Kansas Foot Care since 2008. Dr. Gateley moved to Topeka and Kansas Foot Care from Kansas City, where he had been practicing since 2005. Dr. Gateley attended the University of Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology in 1999. He then attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2003. Dr. Gateley completed a two-year surgical residency at the Leavenworth VA Medical Center, where he was the chief resident.

David Cancelada, MD
Dr. David Cancelada attended the nation’s military medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his surgical training at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is board-certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. He has 25 years of experience in the U.S. Army, which included assignments in numerous military medical facilities to include the U.S. Army Burn Unit, multiple deployments to Iraq as commander of a forward surgical team, as well as Honduras and Haiti in support of the 2010 earthquake disaster. Military decorations include the Bronze Star and the Legion of Merit. He and his family moved to Kansas in 2006 when he was transferred to Fort Riley, and since leaving the military in 2010, Dr. Cancelada has continued to serve the people of Kansas as a general surgeon. Dr. Cancelada’s professional memberships include Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). His interests include trauma/critical care, bariatric and anti-reflux surgery, cancer (breast, colon), and thyroid surgery. Hospital memberships include Community HealthCare System and Stormont-Vail Medical Center (SVMC), where Dr. Cancelada is an active member of their Level 2 trauma service as well as Course Director for their Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training program. Dr. Cancelada is also an assistant professor of surgery at USUHS.
